A great day in the Pentlands with the @Nevisport X FKTrails Hiking Club. Our 12km route took us over East Kip, West Kip and Scald Law. Tech Tips 1 - Contour Lines Contour lines (often referred to simply as contours) are the second most useful feature on any map (right after that tiny "PH" for Public House). Forests grow and are cut down, fences are built and knocked over, streams can dry up in the summer or appear from nowhere in the winter, but mountains tend to stay roughly the same shape for a fairly long time.
